Dear Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure to announce the first Cardiovascular Complication Conference 2012 (CCC2012)
on June 8–9, 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany.
This meeting will bring together a very small highly selected group of endovascular specialists including interventional radiologists, neuroradiologists, cardiologists, pediatric cardiologists, angiologists, endovascular and cardiac surgeons as well as medical device research and development engineers.
Unlike many other complication meetings this meeting will not deal with those complications which thanks to the operator’s expertise could eventually be managed successfully.
Instead, the focus will be on the really disastrous complications which could for whatever reason not been taken care of, often with fatal outcome.
We expect to receive case submissions about complications we all see occasionally in our cath lab but which are usually not presented at public scientific meetings.
The aim is to develop strategies, techniques and devices to prevent this type of complication in the future.
The interdisciplinary character of this meeting will give us a wider perspective and hopefully help to find solutions for difficult and uncommon problems.
Kind regards,
Horst Sievert, MD
